Description
The Ultra 2.0” wheels by JConcepts radiate with performance and artistic inspiration when you open the package. The 4-piece set includes 4.5mm hex adaptors that secure straight to the most positive wheel offset in the #gojconcepts assortment. The most competitive-based item in the line-up has a very flat wheel face but draws on the ingenuity of the designer s creativity to make simple appearance complex. The style of these wheels is as hot as the sun on the warmest summer day.
As with many of the JConcepts wheels, the inner beauty is just as stunning as the outer, in this case the cleanliness stands out and provides a lot of clearance for portal axles and competition assemblies. The base of the design is the bright sun styled spears rotate about the center and all black anodizing has a stealthy and sneaky look. The silver highlights chamfering hits on every edge of the main wheel and brings out the glamorous aluminum qualities.
Six heavy-duty 3mm BHCS fasteners lock in the hex adaptor, while twelve BHCS fasteners secure the bead lock ring to the wheel. Speaking of the bead lock, the all-aluminum and clear anodized item has a partial pass-through hex feature, upper notching and extruded geometry which surrounds the fasteners. The fasteners sit into counterbore sections to almost eliminate any overhang completely from the BHCS hardware. The sliver and natural feel to bead lock ring has luxurious qualities and enhances the overall color balance of the Ultra wheel.
The all-steel construction inner bead locking ring is rigid and provides a steady force to grip the 1.9” tire beads. The new wheel has optional parts available to add additional width to the vehicle. JConcepts 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, and 8.5mm aluminum adaptors bolt directly to the Ultra to completely tune the wheel to any course or surface. NOTE:
The Ultra wheel package contains 2x M3x12 BHCS screws to help begin the build process of the JConcepts wheels. Since a tight bead mount is critical to performance, it s easier to begin a build using the included long screws in opposite directions on the wheel. Start the process by installing the screws and actively push or maneuver the beads of the tire into place with a flat head screwdriver. After the bead lock ring starts to lower and tire beads take a set, start securing the remaining screws on the bead lock ring and evenly lowering the bead lock with screws until the final clamp against the wheel is obtained. Remember to replace the M3x12 starter screws with M3x6 to finalize so no screw overhangs exist inside the wheel. Optional parts:
